Recently I was searching for BME280, since it measures temperature, pressure & humidity in single sensor. For me it was hard to buy the correct version of BME280 (NOT BMP280)

On on Aliexpress.com I came across two types :

  1. Type A
  2. Type B

Type A has 4 pins and Type B has 6 pins. So I want to know which is the correct BME280.

Type A : enter image description here

Type B : enter image description here

  • they are both correct – jsotola Jan 12 at 3:20
  • why Type B has CSB & SDO and Type A doesn't ? – roy Jan 12 at 18:31
  • because some people would like those signals brought out to the header pins ..... it is up to you to learn the purpose of those signals ..... then you can decide if you need them .... note: Type A board may have them at the solder pads ...................... your question is similar to asking why one person painted their house green and another person painted their house blue ................ you have not asked the real question that you wanted to ask, i think ............. you asked which module is correct without any supporting information – jsotola Jan 13 at 19:15
  • if you want to have a 4-pin module, then Type A is correct ..... if you want to have a 6-pin module, then Type B is correct ..... if you want to have pin labeling on top side of the board, then Type A is correct ..... ........... see? no definition of "correct" – jsotola Jan 13 at 19:21
